The most picturesque state of India is undoubtedly a state that lies on the peaks of Himalayan Ranges with varying topography and culture –that’s Kashmir for you, the heaven on earth as famously known. Kashmir’s capital city, Srinagar offers delightful holiday ambienceon the lakes with their Shikaras and houseboats, which has a huge demand among the honeymooners. Kashmir valley is situated at the upper most alpine region of North India and is the ethereal cold desert which is also honeymooners ‘paradise. Kashmir offers many things to its tourists ’like snow- capped mountains peaks, the pony treks, the Shikara rides on Dal lake and during winter, when snow covers the mountains, there is skiing, , sledge-riding, tobogganing etc. along the gentle slopes. Kashmir witnesses four distinct seasons each with distinctive characteristics during spring which is from march to early May experiences million blossoms, summer starts from May and continues till end of August and this is the time when the whole valley looks like a mosaic with different shades of green and Srinagar with its lake and water bodies feels like heaven after the scorching heat of the Indian plains autumn starts in September and is the pleasant time to visit Kashmir winters starts from December to march beginning are mostly chilly and are heated with bukharis which is a typical Kashmiri stove.

Dal Lake

Dal is a lake in Srinagar (Dal Lake is a misnoym as Dal in Kashmiri means lake), the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir.The lake is popular as a visitor attraction and a summer resort.Fisheries and the harvesting of food and fodder plants are also important on Dal.

Gulmarg Gondola

Gulmarg boasts Asia's highest and longest cable car project, the Gulmarg Gondola. The two-stage ropeway ferries about 600 people per hour to and from Kongdoori Mountain, a shoulder of nearby Afarwat Peak (4,200 m (13,780 ft)).


Among the popular places of tourist interest include Leh, Drass valley, Razi khar (Chiktan Khar), Suru valley, Kargil, Zangskar, Zangla, Rangdum, Padum, Phukthal, Sani Monastery etc.The most important feature of trekking in Ladakh is it’s High Mountain passes which comes on the trekking routes gives opportunity to have wonderful view of colorful mountains and amazing landscape.
